History:

Family: Rhys' parents were killed in a potions-related accident when he was a child. He was raised by his aunt and uncle in Russia, both of whom were killed early on in the war. His cousin, Ana, has been 'missing' since shortly after Rhys' time at Durmstrang.

Personal: A bit of a klutz in his formative years, Rhys grew into a man of admirable elegance. His skill on a broom is unrivaled, and he'd even taken up various hand-to-hand fighting techniques, at which he excelled. Though, he never did manage the same talent with potions as his parents before him, he's not terrible at the art, anymore, either.

When he was nineteen, he proposed marriage to his long-time girlfriend and first love, Lena Vorstenbach. She said yes. That same night, however, they were waylaid by dark spies and Rhys was critically injured.

He has been in a coma ever since - until now. Lena believes him to be dead. Legally, he is.
